Keeping the positivity flowing...
So many things have happened in the past summer that it's hard to begin describing them all. Lived with some roommates, went to Seattle, got to see Comic-Con again. But now that this summer is over and I'm back at my moms, it's time for me to refocus a little, yet still stay positive. I'm going to have a new job soon, and I hope it works out well for me. :) I don't think I'll post any more poetry up here, because posting it on here counts as "publishing" according to a journal I'll be submitting my work to. I think I have what it takes to get truly published. However, you still may see the occasional piece of art or cosplay on here. I already
Because it's been a while.
It's been ages since I've posted anything on here, but I haven't forgotten about this place or my friendly watchers. So I will now give vague hints as to what is happening in my life. First of all, I now have a 9-5 job at a local collections agency (well, I've had it since early May) which has taken up most of my time these days. So I have not done any visual art recently. However, I am working on a short story. Perhaps I can turn it into a novel, perhaps not. I am willing to tell you a couple of things about it: it is a fantasy story revolving around a naga prince. I know it's been ages since I wrote anything or posted anything on here. I just felt disconnected from the community and needed time to grow and become more confident in myself. Oh man, I seriously just got a DD?!??!?!? On one of my poems I did for English class?!?!? (I personally like "Millenial Gods" more, but still...)
Truth is, I was considering leaving Deviantart before this happened because I dislike the group system and felt that it made the site less of a community than it used to be. But now that a wider group of people has been exposed to my work, I have no excuse to not get back into this site again. Don't worry, I will respond to all your comments!
I guess this means I'll have to focus on my writing skills more (and I just got back into drawing, too...).
Then again, maybe I should go for an art DD now
