Description

Originally completed on May 23, 2008. Done in GIMP Painter 2.4.5. This banner was made for a contest on this anime music website, which I often listen to: [link] . I filed this one under the fanart category because the singing woman is supposed to be Reika Mishima from the anime RahXephon. I figured some fanart of this series would be appropriate to put on an anime music website because music is at the heart of RahXephon... If you haven't seen this series before, I highly recommend it, enough to say that it is a masterpiece. The text behind her is, appropriately enough, the lyrics to "Hemisphere," RahXephon's opening theme song (Which I believe to be one of the best anime opening theme songs I have ever heard). I hadn't used GIMP much before working on this banner, so it was a challenge to get this banner looking as good as it does right now. There's other really awesome banners in this contest, but I hope people will notice all the hard work I put in mine...
